What happens if I avoid the bobba filter?

If you continually avoid the bobba filter in an attempt to disrupt the game for others or cause hurt and offense, you will be warned about your actions and, if you choose to continue, you may be banned from the Hotel.

What will happen if I break the Habbo Way?

If you break the Habbo Way you may receive a message asking you to stop. Alternatively you may be removed from the room you are in or banned from Habbo Hotel for a period of time relative to the seriousness of your action.

What should I do if I see someone break the Habbo Way?

If someone is annoying you on Habbo Hotel you should use the Ignore button to filter out their chat. If someone is doing something which is making you feel unsafe, please press the blue '?' when in the game and send a Call for Help to our moderation staff.

Why is there a Habbo Way?

Habbo Hotel is a place where people come to relax, hang out and make new friends in a safe, non-threatening environment. The Habbo Way helps to maintain this safe, non-threatening environment..

Why have I been banned?

 If you can't get into the hotel and you got a pop-up window saying that you were removed for breaking the Habbo Way, you have been banned from the hotel.



Most bans are for two hours only. If your account has been banned from Habbo for more than 7 days and you want to question the ban, then you should email
Player Support using the

Habbo Help Tool.

Am I allowed to use a special program to alter things in the hotel?

No, because these programs change the code that is sent from your computer to the Habbo Hotel servers. This is expressly forbidden in our Terms and Conditions. Any Habbo using such programs will be banned permanently and his/her details may be passed on to the police.



This applies to any changes you make to your Habbo character, to guest rooms and to items of furniture.

Why has my son or daughter been banned from the hotel?

If your son or daughter has been banned from the hotel, it's most likely only for two hours.



However, if he or she cannot get in when this time has elapsed, he or she has most likely broken the hotel's rules in a more serious way and has been banned for longer, maybe even permanently.

Why do my words come up as 'bobba'?

All areas of Habbo Hotel have a word filter on them, which filters out offensive words. This covers swearing and racist or sexist language, plus email addresses and phone numbers.

Offensive words are replaced with 'bobba'. The Bobba Filters also work on Habbo names, missions, Stickies and all types of messages sent through the Console.

What is the Habbo Way?

The Habbo Way is like a code of conduct, a guide to how Habbos should act in the Hotel. Habbos who break the Habbo Way are not welcome in the Hotel and may be banned.



You must not:




  • Tell your password to a Habbo, friend, staff member or stranger.
  • Tell anyone personal information which could be used to locate you or other people in real life.
  • Abuse, harass or bully other Habbos.
  • Use hate speech or make rude comments about a Habbo's race, religion, gender or sexuality.
  • Use any programs to hack, script or edit Habbo in any way.
  • Own, sell or run replica Habbo Hotels (retros).
  • Steal from or trick Habbos into giving you their passwords, Habbo Credits or furniture.
  • Discuss or take part in sexual acts with other Habbos.
  • Act out or roleplay violent acts, even as a joke.
  • Give away, trade or sell your Habbo account.
  • Break the law or talk others into breaking the law.
